Bumblebee Quilting Services got it’s start in 2017, when Jim quilted his first quilt on a Singer 301. While he enjoyed the free motion quilting on the machine, he quickly decided this was not the way he wanted to continue quilting.
Granddad’s little helper, assisting with assembling the first longarm, Penelope (Voyager 17).
In January 2018, we purchased our first long arm machine, a Voyager 17. This machine came with all the accessories need to get started. He spent the first year learning the trade on comfort quilts, for an area quilt guild. As members of the guild saw his work go from a novice quilter to a talented custom quilter, they started asking him to do their quilting.
We now quilt on an APQS Millie on a 12 foot frame. Currently we are able to work on quilts from small wall hangings/table runners up to King size.
Here is one of our works for a local non-profit.
